Three BIG Pieces Of News!
1. I made a wig (lace front wig) thanks to fabulasityisme, peakmill and tiarramonet's tutorials- I managed to use 2 bundles of hair and a lace closure to make it :)
2. I am testing out this hair to see whether it is good enough to sell as I am *fingers crossed* starting a hair company
3. I will definitely tell you all the details the most I can say at the moment is it is 2x 18 inches Brazilian hair and a closure (14 inch), colour 1B.

Making Your Parting in Your Wig more realistic :)
I know, long title lol. I had been watching a few videos on youtube about lace front wigs and decided to try one idea out. My lace knots are not bleached (they are not transparent so this can make the wig look more fake). I decided to take my Mac concealer with the sharpest make up brush I own (in this case an ELF eyeshadow brush) and dot the concealer on the lace where the parting was. Hope that makes sense! Anyway onto the pictures:

Lace Front Wig Update
Just in case you were interested, this is the wig after just over two months of wear. It did shed a bit after washing it but otherwise I have no complaints. It is still holding up well. I purchased another (I promise my final!) lace front wig from the same website (lacewigsfront.com) so look out for that!
More info on the wig? Click here
This was just a quick work style, both bags in the background are from my favourite shop, H&M :)

Where I Purchase...WIGS
Low end (£100 or under)
1) All of my human hair (lacefront) wigs are from lacewigsfront. Quick delivery and reasonable prices.
2) I have not purchased from this vendor but I have heard lacewigtrend stocks a variety of human hair wigs and their prices are definitely reasonable.
3) Fridaynighthair is where to buy good synthetic wigs - I think it will last 6-8 weeks, but they cost about £50 including P&P and that is the same price as a good weave.
If you want to purchase a wig I also suggest going on Youtube to search for reviews.
High end (£100+)
If I had endless amounts of money I would purchase from any of these vendors: SassySecret, Royalty Wigs or California Lace Wigs. The way their wigs look are like a dream! Love them, I can dream one day...

Taming the Kinky Straight
Or attempting to...I'm really not sure how to tame this hair, it is huuuge if it is not flat ironed. I used my GHD straighteners and my Elasta QP Design Silk heat protectant. If you want to know where I ordered this wig click here to see an earlier post. Anyone has any tips please lemme know!
The texture is so soft and beautiful though :)

Two New Synthetic Lace Front Wigs
I know , I know, I promise I am not becoming a wig addict! But my previous wigs ended up matted and unwearable so I purchased two more for £83 including postage, packaging or so I thought! I purchased from LH Boutique on 23rd January and I did not get my products till 9th February. Why so long? I received an e-mail the beginning of February stating I would have to pay an extra £22 in custom charges, very unhappy with LH Boutique and their poor customer service (not replying to my complaint sent over a week ago!). So I will not be ordering from there again. And it came in this big old box!
Anywho here are the wig specs.
Model Model Viva, $39.99 now, I purchased for $29.99 click here
It's a colour 1B, body wave texture about 14 inches.
Model Model "Futura" Lace Front Wig - Inspire here, $39.99
It's a colour 1B, straight texture with a small curl and it's a lot longer about 16 inches.
I hope these wigs last me till the end of May when I will be purchasing my last *wipes tear* human hair wig to aid my transition, I plan to BC in August 2012.

My Wig Cap
I ordered a dark brown wig cap to create a natural looking scalp under my wigs, I think it may be a bit too light, but then again my scalp is obviously lighter then the skin on my hand. It came nicely packaged and was £3.40 from a private seller this included recorded delivery 1st class. I paid via paypal.

New Camera/New Hair
I got a new camera- Panasonic Lumix DMC-S3 (it's about time my old one is sloww and 9 megapixels) it is 14 megapixels. All of the Best Buys are closing down in London- so I snapped up this camera and a laptop for £300! That's my Christmas present. I purchased a wig from fridaynighthair.com after watching the numerous reviews on youtube (mainly muffinismylovers- she's great!) it is the GLS21 in colour 1B.
This is a synthetic lace front wig with about 2.5 inches of parting space at the front
It was $49.99 with an extra $20 something dollars for shipping in total it was £50. I got it shipped by UPS and it took 5 working days to arrive (ordered Sunday evening arrived on Saturday morning).
I am pleased with the look of the hair, it's got glorious curls and I wanted something different for the holiday season (and my holiday to Ghana!). I will definitely ensure to detangle this wig with a wide tooth comb daily and hang this up at night to prevent tangles. I will definitely try to a video of this wig because it is lovely. It also came with lace wig tape (for free) but I will not use it.
I will do a review of this wig after a week or two of wear. I may cut the wig because it looks toooo long, I will definitely cut the combs out b/c they will definitely rip your edges out! Also did I mention this synthetic wigs are heat resistant up to 400F? I'm not a wig junkie - yet lol, I think I'm going to purchase two more full lace wigs- one kinky straight and one kinky curly.

Protective Styling Challenge Part 1- Lace Wig Update!
Hey guys I have been protective styling for 5 weeks now. And along those 5 weeks I was considering buying a lace wig, why? Well compared to a weave:
Here are some pictures:
Package delivered :)
Fresh out of the package:
Parting space:
- I may need to tweeze this hairline.
Other good vendors:
Platinumlacewigs
Bestlacewigs (but has mixed reviews)
RPG Show
I have no immediate plans to relax my hair
This is how I hope to apply my lace wig to make it look more realistic (minus the elastic band)
Any other questions lemme know! Oh and of course I will post pictures of how it looks, all I need to do is purchase a rat tail comb and a wig cap :)
- I can access my scalp by removing the wig daily/weekly
- I workout 3x week so I need to be able to properly wash my hair 1xweek
- It lasts much longer
- It's human hair
- It has parting space (so you can part for at least 2.5 inches so it is more realistic)
- It costs no more than £100 (I know lace wigs go for £200+ but no thanks lol)
- It is reccommended (if unsure youtube and search!)
